Jersey Lottery Players Win $3.8 Million in Big Prizes During December Lucky Streak
In an incredible week of wins, two dozen New Jersey lottery players grabbed major prizes adding up to over $3.8 million. Five players scored big with prizes over $500,000 during the December hot streak.
The biggest win came from a Hackensack 7-Eleven, where someone snagged a $600,000 Colossal Crossword jackpot. Players had bought over a million tickets since the last major win in June. Lady Luck struck twice with million-dollar scratch-off wins.
A Cherry Hill player scored the Diamond Spectacular prize at Ashland Food Market, while another got lucky with 100X Cash Blitz at Wolfson’s Market in Lincoln Park. Luck landed in Carteret when a Shell station sold a $500,000 Neon Cash Party ticket.
The winning spree kept going at Township Liquors in Turnersville, where someone picked up a Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth $678,674.
$50,000 winners popped up across the state. Winning Powerball tickets showed up in Phillipsburg and Maple Shade, while a Mega Millions player got lucky through the Jackpocket app.
On Dec. 13, four players each grabbed $10,000 from Mega Millions. The lucky spots included stores in Somerset, Elizabeth, and East Orange, plus one through Lotto.com.
Want to take a shot at Colossal Crossword? You’ve got a 1 in 3.4 chance of winning something. Two grand prizes are still up for grabs, with players seeing a 91.8% expected return.
This lucky streak comes just as Mega Millions climbs to a huge $740 million drawing that happened on Dec. 17.
