Famous People Born in the Year of the RAT
The Zodiacal Rat is the first of the repeating 12-year cycle of animals as part of the Chinese calendar system. 2020 is the Year of the Rat and to celebrate we are recognizing celebrities of the rock world who were born during Year of the Rat.
The Luna New Year will occur tomorrow (January 25) lasting through February 11. If you’re a rat out there listening to 95.9 The RAT, we look forward to seeing what the Year of the Rat holds for you.
Recent years of the Rat include 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, and 2008. The Chinese New Year all depends on the New Moon and is cycled through the five elements of nature.
The Chinese New Year is also well known by other titles such as Spring Festival, Tet Nguyen, and Seollal. Rats are successful, clever, and are seen as a sign of wealth and surplus whom are compatible with the Ox, Dragon, and Monkey.
