Apple Announces Repair Service Partnership with Best Buy
Apple users that don’t live near an Apple Store/Genius Bar will now be able to receive certified service at Best Buy locations across the United States.
Apple announced the new repair service partnership today (June 19) and said that the nearly 1,000 Best Buy locations now have about “7,600 newly Apple-certified technicians ready to make same-day iPhone repairs or to service other Apple products.”
In a statement from Apple’s vice president of AppleCare Tara Bunch, she said, “At Apple, we’re dedicated to providing the best customer service in the world. If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly. We’re always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we’re excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it’s even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.”
Best Buy now joins the over 1,800 third-party Apple authorized service providers in the U.S. which triples the number of service locations that existed a mere three years ago. Apple now also boasts that eight out of ten users of its products now live within 20 minutes of an authorized service provider thanks to the Best Buy partnership.
