Burger King Is Asking Customers To Go To Their Local McDonald’s
Burger King is asking customers to visit their local McDonald’s.
Yes, you read that right.
Allow us to explain.
Recently, the fast food chain announced a new promotion to encourage people to use their mobile app.
The promotion was created by wrapping geofences around McDonald’s restaurants and asking customers to drive within 600 feet of the location to qualify for a special deal.
According to Business Insider, Burger King customers should download the BK App before heading to their local McDonald’s.
Once within 600 feet of a McDonald’s, a deal will unlock on the mobile app that qualifies customers for a $.01 Whopper.
Customers can then place their order using the app, and will be rerouted to a nearby Burger King to pick up their order.
We’re still on the fence about whether the new promotion is clever or downright bizarre, but hey, a Whopper for one cent is a pretty good deal.
