It’s Davey Mac here and I’m sort of losing my mind.   Seriously.   I’ve been a Yankees, Giants, and Knicks fan for my entire life and those teams are causing great mental pain to me lately.

The Giants have been dreadful because of their wildly inept and out-of-it former General Manager Dave Gettleman.   Yes, Gettleman was fired before this season began.   But the damage he did to the Giants’ roster and payroll has still put the team behind the eight pool.

Meanwhile, the Yankees…the one team I’ve always been able to count on to give me joy rather than misery…well, friends…the Yankees are choking right in front of our eyes.   The Yanks had a FIFTEEN-game lead over the entire division…and are now clinging to a six-game lead over the Rays.   Yankee GM Brian Cashman has done a horrendous job in reinforcing this team with extra talent to put the Yankees over the top.   And owner Hal Steinbrenner is cheap.

That takes me to the Knicks…and how THEY just blew it and have made me depressed.   The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired superstar guard Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz.   The reason I bring this up is that Mitchell is from New York…and grew up loving the Knicks and wanting to be a Knick…and he’s 25 years old and averaged 25 points and 5 assists a game…and yet the Knicks freakin’ lost out on this guy to the Cavs?!   We were told the Knicks were aggressively pursuing this fantastic talent!   Wha’ happened?!   I’ll tell you…James Dolan…the Knicks owner…is one of the worst owners in all of Sports!   The Knicks haven’t won a championship since 1973 and yet Dolan is STILL reluctant to go after a top player?!

What are the GM’s and owners in New York doing?!   It’s like they hate us!   I’m Davey Mac and that’s my two cents!

  • Mets Defeat Dodgers

The Mets beat the Dodgers…5 to 3.   Chris Bassitt pitched well for the Mets…Bassitt threw six innings…giving up just two earned runs…while striking out four…he receives the win.   Francisco Lindor and Starling Marte had two hits each.   Good series for the Mets as they end up taking two outta three from the Dodgers…who have the best record in baseball.   The Mets improve to 84 and 48…still three games in front of the Braves for first place in the N.L. East.

  • Yanks Take On Rays In Big A.L. East Matchup

The Yankees were off last night.   This evening the Yanks take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa.   The Yankees are currently 79 and 52…six games ahead of the Rays for first place in the A.L. East.  It’s a huge series that the lifeless Yankees (except Aaron Judge, of course) need to win.   If the Yanks get swept by the Rays this weekend…then the Yankees season is quickly becoming a catastrophic collapse.

  • Phillies Take On Giants In San Francisco

  • Tom Brady Fumbles With Gisele!

According to the New York Post, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have been fighting over Tom’s decision to play again this season.  Supposedly, Gisele left their home in Tampa and flew to Costa Rica.   Tom took an 11-day break from Bucs training camp…we thought it was to shoot a reality show appearance (perhaps The Masked Singer)…but maybe it was trouble in the home instead.   What Brady said at a recent press conference was, quote, “It’s all personal . . . everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with.  We all have really unique challenges to our life.  I’m 45 years old, man.  There’s a lot of sh– going on.”

  • Donovan Mitchell Traded To Cavs

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has been traded to the Cleveland Cavs.   If you’re a Knicks fan…you’re puzzled by this.   Oh, also, James Dolan stinks.   Please see above.

  • Tiger Supports Serena

Serena Williams says Tiger Woods’ support is one of the main reasons she’s still playing.  Also, she and Venus lost their first-round doubles match at the U.S. Open yesterday.  But that was fun.  TONIGHT…Serena plays in the third round against Ajla Tomlijanovic from Australia.
