The United States men’s soccer team beat Iran yesterday…one to nothing…to advance in the World Cup. The U.S. now advances to the Round Of 16…a.k.a. “The Knockout Round.”

The U.S. will take on the Netherlands on Saturday at 10 AM. And I cannot wait. The American head coach seems to be pushing all the right buttons and the players are doing a great job.

Let’s start with the World Cup…the U.S. beat Iran in World Cup action yesterday…one to nothing. That means that the U.S. will advance to the Round of 16…a.k.a. the Knockout Round. The Americans will face the Netherlands on Saturday, December 3rd, at 10 AM. Go USA!

Knicks Dominate Detroit
Over to basketball…where the Knicks crushed the Pistons last night…140 to 110. The Knicks’ Julius Randle had a huge game…Julius had 36 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in the victory. Jalen Brunson, R.J. Barrett, and Quentin Grimes all had 16 points each as well. The Knicks improve to 10 and 11 for the season.

Nets Vs. Wizards
The Nets and 76’ers were both off last night. This evening the Nets take on the Wizards in Brooklyn.

Watson Returning To Browns
Deshaun Watson will make his first start as quarterback for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, after serving an 11-game suspension due to sexual misconduct allegations. The Browns are playing the Texans in Houston . . . and at least 10 of his two dozen accusers will be at the game. Their attorney says, quote, “They thought it important to make clear that they are still here and that they matter. I was proud of them for that. I have made that opportunity available to them.
