Good morning, Sports fans!   It’s your boy Davey Mac here back with an action-packed Sports Report for ya!   We’ve got the baseball and football!   Hockey and hoops!   Even some happy news from the world of tennis!   But first!

Did you hear the great news about Todd Frazier?   The Toms River native has just gotten hired by the New York Yankees to join the booth on their YES Network!

Todd, of course, was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and raised in Toms River.   It was in Toms River where Todd first made the national stage by being the leader on the legendary team that won the Little League World Series in 1998!   In the Championship Game, in fact, Todd went 4 for 4 with a home run and was also the winning pitcher!   WOW!

Later on…Todd would become a star at Rutgers and get drafted by the Cincinnati Reds.   He would win an MLB Home Run Derby with the Reds in 2015.   A couple years later, Todd would go to the Yankees where he was a vital part of the team that went to the 2017 American League Championship Series.   And while the Yankees lost to the (cheating) Houston Astros in seven games…Todd made his mark on that magical season in the Bronx.   He would also play for the Mets as well.

And personally speaking, Todd is a great guy with a great personality…I’m sure he’ll do an excellent job in the booth.   When he visited my radio station recently, he was a nice guy with a positive attitude and classy demeanor.   He even posed with this lifelong Yankee fan!   Good luck on the new gig, Todd!   I’m sure you’ll be awesome!   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my Sports Two Cents!
