The Best Wings Near WRAT Radio Can Be Found At These Local Places In Belmar N.J.

I work with a group of wing loving maniacs. Atomic Rob, who works in Promotions, Afternoon Drive Guy, “The Real Deal” Jimmy Steal, Morning RAT, Carl Craft, and Gotts, who usually eats his wings out of a dumpster behind Bar Anticipation after consuming the bar’s entire supply of Miller Lite.

If for some reason we couldn’t get to our favorite places outside of Belmar while working the 9 to 5 slave drive, we have local favorites that are within walking distance of The RAT.

Now I don’t get to leave the building during the normal time most people eat lunch because I am on the air from 10am to 3pm.

However, my colleagues, Jimmy, Carl, Rob, Snackie Jackie, our promo Goddess, Kylie, Connor, and other assorted members of the RAT Pack are free to leave the building whenever they decide it’s time for lunch.

Occasionally one of them will ask me if I want anything. I rarely eat lunch unless I’m starving, or they are going to a place in the area that I love.

Wings are hard for me to eat on the air. They are messy and I’d wind up having to engineer my radio show with sticky saucy fingers. I don’t think my colleagues or our engineer, Bill would be too happy about that.

I can always wait until I get off the air at 3 pm to grab some mighty fine chicken wings at several places in the Belmar area.

I know for a fact there are nearly a dozen places within walking distance of the RAT that I’d gladly walk into and order a delicious plate of wings.

I’m going to cover the Top 8. Let’s make our way through the Belmar- Lake Como neighborhood, and get us some wings.

Awarded Top Wings in New Jersey and they come in a variety of flavors:Buffalo / Garlic Buffalo / Garlic Parm / BBQ / Tangy / Mango Habañero / Sweet Chili / Cayenne / Teriyaki.

A great local Mexican restaurant with some outstanding spicy wings. La Sierra is not a big place. Go for the authentic Mexican dishes, but please start with a plate of wings and wash it down with a fabulous Margarita.

You need wings with  your  ice cold brew. There are 15-20 rotating beers on tap and you can get a nice plate of wings. Your choices are: Buffalo, Thai Sticky wings, or Cajun Dry Rub with jalapeno ranch.

Hip hangout with wood-fired rotisserie chicken & other grub including great wings. The Buffalo chicken dumplings might be something you order in addition to your plate of wings. Nothing super fancy, just good old Buffalo wings with roasted garlic bleu cheese for dipping.

Gotts's home away from home and a fine place to grab some fantastic wings. Served fried or grilled. Your choices are many, from traditional , to Garlic Parmesan, Gochujang, Sweet Chili, Teriyaki, BBQ, and more.

A huge selection of wings and gourmet dipping sauces to choose from. My favorite has always been the Lemon Pepper wings. But you can choose Bourbon BBQ, OOOEY GOOEY Honey Mustard, Thai Chili and a half dozen other choices. Let's not forget the list of dry rub choices including Old Bay. They also have gourmet dippings sauces like Mango Habanero, General Tso, Guiness BBQ, and several more.

You can choose from bone-in or boneless with limited choices of seasonings: Dr. Pepper BBQ, Buffalo or Mango Habanero. They also do an array of Charcuterie boards, a raw bar, and their famous Pierogies sautéed in butter & onions topped with sour cream.
