The Best Diners & Luncheonettes in Monmouth County According To Yelp

Diners and Luncheonettes bring back strong memories of my childhood. We often looked forward to visiting my grandparents because our Grandfather used to take us to the corner luncheonette by his home in Brooklyn for lunch when we were little.

I used to look forward to climbing up on the stool at the lunch counter and having the waitress make me an egg cream while I waited for my tuna salad on rye toast.

My dad used to take us to the local diner near the town where I grew up, and occasionally he would take us to his favorite luncheonette where he would meet up with the boys.

Now that I’m all grown up, I have my favorite diners but have yet to find a favorite luncheonette. Probably because I haven’t searched one out until now. After doing some research, I came upon some luncheonettes in Monmouth County and a few cafes that can be considered luncheonette-like.

If you want an old school feel and a great breakfast, this is your place. It's been around since the 50's! It's a small place so there may be a wait.

Another place with an old school feel. I've driven by it a million times, and so have you. Now it's time to stop and enjoy a good meal and a killer milkshake.

When I lived in the area, we ate there at least once a week.

A sweet little joint to get a good breakfast. Next door is a great bagel joint called the Bagel Exchange.

I love this place!! They serve breakfast all day!
