Good morning, Sports fans and athletics aficionados! It’s your trusted correspondent Davey Mac here back with a super-sized Sports Report for ya! We’ve got basketball, hockey, baseball…and of course…the Super Bowl!

That’s right! The big game is this Sunday! The Kansas City Chief Vs. the Philadelphia Eagles! Both teams finished 14 and 3 in the regular season and both teams earned Number One seeds because of it. Future Hall Of Famer Patrick Mahomes duels against Jalen Hurts of the Eagles in what could be an excellent game.

Well, the John Madden football video game has predicted that the Philadelphia Eagles will defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Big Game…31 to 17.  The Madden Super Bowl Simulation has been right almost 70% of the time.

Now, Patrick Mahomes has had an amazing season. He’s been voted this year’s NFL MVP…he’s already won a ring…and been to two Super Bowls. Certainly, he has experience in this atmosphere.

But we can’t look past Jalen Hurts. He’s been an MVP candidate this year and has played absolutely lights-out football in the playoffs. He’s coming in hot.

Then you’ve got the head coaching matchup. The Chiefs’ Andy Reid will go into the Hall Of Fame one day. Super Bowl Champion…and 24 seasons of success. Meanwhile, Nick Sirianni is looking to prove he’s one of the league’s elite coaches.

…Chiefs, 28…Eagles, 27. BAM! K.C. wins on a late, fourth-quarter drive led by Mahomes!   I’m Davey Mac!   That’s my Sports two cents!

  • Nets Beat Bulls

    A day after trading Kevin Durant and a week after trading Kyrie Irving…the Brooklyn Nets went out and beat the Chicago Bulls…116 to 105.   Spencer Dinwiddie had 25 points for the Nets…Cam Thomas added 20…as the Nets improve to 33 and 22.   Crazy…all this controversy with the Nets…and they’re still eleven games over .500 and in the Top 5 in the Eastern Conference.

  • Knicks Vs. 76'ers Tonight

    Tonight…another big game for the Knicks as they take on the 76’ers in Philly.   The Knicks won the last matchup between the two.   The Knicks have won two in a row and are looking to go five game over .500.   Meanwhile, the Sixers are 34 and 19…3rd in the East.

  • Devils Win Again!

    The Devils won again as they took down the Kraken last night…3 to 1.   Mackenzie Blackwood had 33 saves for the Devils to pick up the win.   Dougie Hamilton scored two goals for the Devils in the victory.

  • Flyers Take Down Edmonton

    The Flyers defeated the Oilers…2 to 1.   The Flyers improve to 22-22-9 for the season.

    The Rangers were off.   They face the Kraken this evening in Madison Square Garden.

  • MLB Allows Pitchers To Call Their Own Pitches With Electronic Wristband

    Interesting story here.   Major League Baseball just announced that they will permit pitchers in spring training to wear wristbands that will let them signal to the catcher what’s coming next.   In other word, pitchers can call their own pitches going forward if they want to.   Veterans probably will want it…younger players may not be into it.

  • Giants' Brian Daboll Wins NFL Coach Of The Year

    Last night was the official ceremony for the NFL Honors…and the Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll won Coach of the Year!   It was an incredible turnaround for the G-Men…who made the playoffs and even won a playoff game over the Vikings.   Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes won league MVP for the second time in his stellar career.

  • Goodell Says Refs Are Doing Fine

    NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says league officiating has never been better.   This received a lot of criticism as there have been several officiating controversies — including a replayed third down in the AFC Championship Game.  I don’t know, Roger.
