Good morning, Sports fans!   Davey Mac here with a very big Sports Report for ya!   Hope you had a great three-day weekend…if you missed any big stories from yesterday…don’t worry!   We’ve got you covered with this article!   NBA & NHL playoffs!   MLB scores!   Indy 500 results!   NFL scuttlebutt!   And more!   But first!

Everyone outside of the Boston area can breathe a sigh of relief as the Celtics failed to win Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals yesterday…preventing them from coming back in the series…down zero games to 3.   They were looking to become the first team in NBA history to win a series after trailing thee games to none.   The previous 150 teams who attempted this ALL fell short.   As did Boston last night.

Miami’s Jimmy Butler simply refused to let his team blow the series and lose this game.   Butler was incredible offensively and defensively and led his team to victory.

And can we finally acknowledge that Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is a future Hall-Of-Famer and probably the best coach in the NBA?   Not only has he won multiple championships…but he constantly has his team ready to play.   Spoelstra’s teams consistently over-achieve as he knows how to get the absolute best out of his players.

In the end…the luck of the leprechaun has run out.   The Red Sox are the only team to trail a series 0-3 and come back and win it (in the 2004 American League Championship Series against the Yankees).   The Patriots have the biggest comeback in the history of the Super Bowl when they were losing, 28 to 3, to the Falcons…and still won the game.   If the Celtics had won Game 7 last night…that would have given the city of Boston the three biggest comebacks in the three biggest team sports in America.   Quite frankly…we would never have heard the end of it.   I, for one, am relieved the Celtics choked!   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

  • Pippen Trashes Jordan In Weird Interview

Staying with basketball for a second…Scottie Pippen called Michael Jordan, quote, “a horrible player…horrible to play with.”  He said Jordan is only considered great because of the team he had around him…and because of Pippen himself.   Um…Scottie…were you on North Carolina when Jordan hit the game-winning shot to win the National Championship?    And when Jordan left the NBA for two years to play baseball, did you win the NBA Finals?   The answer to both questions is “no.”   Get outta here with this “Jordan is horrible” nonsense.
