It’s Davey Mac here and we’ve got a Friday Sports Report for ya this morning!   But before we get to the scoreboard…let’s get to some news!

Did you hear what former Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum said about the current Jets quarterback issue?   Check out this quote:

“This is a meritocracy.  The best players play.  Mike White is a better football player than Zach Wilson.”

Ouch!   It is looking more and more likely that Wilson’s days in a Jets uniform could be numbered.   When he failed to take accountability in a bad loss where the offense scored just three points…things really seemed to change for Wilson.

And then enter Mike White.   He dazzled against the Bears and seems to have won over his team-mates (under like Wilson).   White beat the Bears, looked decent against the Vikings, and appears to have poise and confidence.

Chicago Bears v New York Jets

So, we’ll see what happens.   Personally speaking, I think Zach Wilson is done with the Jets.   You lose the faith of your team-mates…you lose your job.   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents.

The Rams beat the Raiders on Thursday Night Football in shocking fashion…17 to 16.   Newly-acquired Ram quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who was just released from the Carolina Panthers, actually played well and led the Rams on a game-winning drive.   The Rams had been trailing 16 to 3 with around three minutes to go in the game when Baker came back.   Mayfield was 22 for 35 for 230 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.   L.A. was down 16 to 3 with around three minutes to go when they scored two touchdowns and won the game…the Rams are now 4 and 9.   The Raiders and their disappointing season continues as they fall to 5 and 8.
