Good Monday morning, Sports fans!   Davey Mac here and we’ve got an action-packed Sports Report for you today!   It was a wild and action-packed weekend that was filled to the brim with Sports!

We had the first college football game of the season when Northwestern upset Nebraska in Ireland!   But, wait, there’s more!

Serena Williams has made the trip into New York City where she will embark on her final tennis journey as Serena says that the U.S. Open will be her last tournament!   And that’s not all!

Rory McIlroy is in the news!   Charles Barkley rips Kevin Durant!   The Yankees may be falling apart again!   The final games of the NFL preseason were played!   And we’re still not done!

The Little League team from Hawaii represented the U.S. yesterday and they defeated the country of Curacao…13 to 3.   It is the fourth time the kids from Hawaii have won the Little League World Series.

And what an event it was.   The LLWS gets even the most salty, bitter, baseball fan falling in love with the sport when they watch the fantastic baseball, the amazing crowd, the feel-good nature of the whole tournament, the mic’d up coaches, and the overall wonderful vibe that the LLWS gives each and every year.   It really is one of the best events on the Sports calendar and is a fun way to close out Summer.

Congratulations to the kids of Hawaii for winning it all!   You guys are heroes!

  • Charles Barkley Critical Of Kevin Durant

Well, the Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant has had TONS of drama the past year or so…and Charles Barkley has had enough.   In a recent interview, Barkley said: “He gets mad when we say it, he piggybacked on the Warriors to win his first two championships, but if you go back and look at his career, as the best player and being a leader that all goes with that, he’s been an abject failure. I mean, every time he’s been like the guy who has to be the leader and the best player he has not had success.” BAM! Charles Barkley coming in HOT! Now THAT’S how you cut a good wrestling promo…maybe Sir Charles should consider the WWE or AEW. Either way, STRONG words from Barkley on Durant!
