…Happy Birthday to the one and only Joe Namath! “Broadway” Joe was born on May 31st, 1943…so the Jet icon is now an octogenarian!
Namath, of course, led the Jets to victory in Super Bowl III after guaranteeing that his team would be the Colts. And when he did…Joe’s legendary status was cemented forever.
Happy B-Day, Joe! You’re one of the greatest!
Yanks Lose To Seattle
The Yankees lost last night to the Mariners…one to nothing. The Yanks drop to 34 and 24 as a result.

Mets Take Down Phils
Meanwhile, the Mets beat the Phillies…4 to 1. Met outfielder Mark Canha had two hits including his fourth home run of the season…as the Mets improve to 29 and 27…the Phillies fall to 25 and 30.

NBA Finals Begin Tonight
Tonight begins the NBA Finals. The Denver Nuggets take on the Miami Heat with Game 1 in Denver. The Nuggets are looking for their first championship in franchise history…the Heat are looking to be the first 8-seed to win an NBA Finals.

Stanley Cup Finals Start Saturday
Saturday begins the Stanley Cup Finals…as the Florida Panthers face the Las Vegas Golden Knights in Vegas. That game starts at 8.

Rodgers Back Practicing Next Week
The Jets say that Aaron Rodgers, who strained his right calf last week, is expected to practice return by next week. Rodgers was at the camp yesterday…but wasn’t fully active due to the injury.

Belichick Takes Responsibility
Meanwhile, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick took responsibility for the team being punished by the NFL…and Belichick also backed assistant coach Joe Judge for his role in the violation that led to the team being punished. The coaches were having the players spend too much time at the facility and the players union complained.
