Good morning, Sports fans! It’s your pal Davey Mac here and we’ve got a busy Sports Report for ya! Things are heating up in the NBA! Hockey is at full speed! Baseball Spring Training! And more! But first!
Oh, Kenny Golladay…we Giants fans hardly knew ye.

The embattled and injury-prone wide receiver was given a staggering $72 million for four years by FORMER Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman. Why? No one knows. No one knew at the time why Golladay received such a deal…and no one knows why the Giants wanted to give him this kind of money when they needed to build from the ground up.

Golladay simply became one of the biggest busts in New York Sports history. Put him up there with the Yankees’ signing of an angry and not-New-York-friendly Randy Johnson, the Mets over-paying an over-the-hill Bobby Bonilla, the Knicks putting Phil Jackson in charge of the team (when he didn’t want the responsibility), and the Jets drafting of Blair Thomas. Make no mistake about it…Golladay is up there with the most notorious deals we’ve seen.

At the end of the day…this is one of the biggest examples why Giants fans (and ultimately the Giants organization) lost all faith in Dave Gettleman making football decisions. He was never the right man for the general manager’s job. Which is why Joe Schoen is the GM these days. And thank goodness for that. I’m Davey Mac…that’s my Sports Two Cents!
