Good morning, Sports fans!  We’ve got a big Sports Report for ya as we head into the weekend!  Football, baseball, basketball!  Scores, news, and gossip!  But first!

Did you see ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium last night?  Oh, boy…it was not good.  After stating on his show First Take that he would throw a perfect strike, the question was, “Would Stephen live up to his promise?”

Well, we’ve got the video footage.  Let’s see how he did.

Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Stephen A. Smith's first pitch at Yankees Stadium might rival 50 Cent's first pitch at Citi Field:📹 @YESNetwork pic.twitter.com/BVa7CH2ESq / Twitter"

Yikes!  He bounced it?!  Come on, man!  You CANNOT bounce the pitch!  Throw it high and make sure it crosses the plate!  NO BOUNCING!

Jomboy Media on Twitter: "Stephen A. Smith's first pitch at Yankee Stadium did not go well for him pic.twitter.com/t8g0VUPkO2 / Twitter"

Here’s another angle of the pitch.  People are saying it looked more like a bounce pass in basketball!  Hahaha!

Fuzzy on Twitter: "There's no way Stephen A Smith just bounced a first pitch 24 hours after telling the entire baseball world to shut the hell up.. just no way 😂 pic.twitter.com/vTMPkSRlG9 / Twitter"

Meanwhile, folks are now taking the video and mocking Stephen A. with it.  Like this.

…And this…

Brella Sports on Twitter: "And just like that, Stephen A Smith gives up the first HR of the LLWS.. ya hate to see it! pic.twitter.com/JJyZ3crkMo / Twitter"

The bottom line is that Stephen A. has got to do better than this!  He now is arguably the most influential talking head on ESPN and he’s gotta rep the Network with solid sports precision!  And a ball bounced in the first ain’t it!  Tony Kornheiser or Mike Wilbon would never bounce it!  Sorry, Stephen…this is a FAIL!  I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
