Local Vibes

Greetings, movie and TV fans!   It’s East Side Dave of the Morning Rat Race and I got a killer list with great videos for ya!

We were discussing the new Netflix show The Watcher this morning…when we discovered that the story is based out of Westfield, New Jersey…which is also the same town where the Addams Family house is located!

It got me thinking…”What other movies and TV shows have classic houses in Jersey?”   And, badabing badaboom, a list was created!

Behold…it’s East Side Dave’s Top 5 New Jersey Houses In The Movies & TV…and it starts…right now!

  • 5.) Big

The classic Tom Hanks movie Big was shot largely in New Jersey and New York…with Josh’s house being located in Cliffside Park, NJ.

  • 2.) Cop Land

Filmed in Edgewater and Fort Lee…Cop Land is a tremendous movie of a crew of crooked New York cops getting taken down by a moral Jersey cop. Sylvester Stallone’s character had a house in Edgewater.

  • 3.) MTV's The Jersey Shore

Listen…I get it…we all have strong opinions of the Jersey Shore show.   Some people love it…and some folks really HATE it.   But, regardless of opinion…the series with Snooki and Sitch and others because a pop culture phenomenon.   And it made Seaside Heights a household name to people outside of Jersey.

  • 2.) The Addams Family

Charles Addams, the creator of the Addams family, was from New Jersey and based their house on this home in Westfield.

  • 1.) The Sopranos

Forget about it!   Nobody beats Tony Soprano in a Jersey list!   Tony’s house was located in Caldwell, NJ.   It was on the market a few years ago for $3.4 million.
