Hold on to your hats, Giants fans, because you may not believe what you read next. Multiple sources are reporting that Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (who is a free agent) may ask for as much as forty-five million dollars annually from the G-Men! Ay caramba!

Now, listen. Daniel had a great year for Big Blue. He lead the Giants to the playoffs and even grabbed a playoff victory over the Vikings. So, I have no problem with how Daniel Jones played. He was quite good actually.

But let’s not forget that he also had Saquon Barkley with him. It was Saquon, and not Jones, who was the Giants best offensive player for the entire season. After returning from injury, Saquon was once again explosive and highly successful.

Furthermore, it should be noted that Daniel also was coached by Brian Daboll…who won the NFL Coach of the Year this season for the job he did with the Giants. Daboll has had tremendous success with quarterbacks throughout his career…and he was a perfect fit for Jones.

So, maybe Daniel Jones should consider taking a little less money in order to stay with this team which has such a bright future? Come on, Daniel! This decision should be easy! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my Sports Two Cents!

Rangers Lose To Jets
The Rangers lost to the Jets last night…4 to 1. Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck had 50 saves in the game to pick up the win. The Rangers drop to 33-15-9 for the season.

Flyers Defeat Flames
The Flyers took down the Flames…4 to 3. Travis Konecny had a goal and an assist for Philly in the victory.

Devils Vs. Canadiens Tonight
The Devils were inactive. They face the Canadiens this evening at the Prudential Center. The Devils are 37-14-5 for the year.

Team Giannis Beats Team LeBron At All Star Game
The NBA is off because of the All Star break. In case you missed it…Team Giannis beat Team LeBron…184 to 175 in the All Star Game itself. The Celtics’ Jayson Tatum scored an NBA All Star Game record 55 points as he took home the MVP. Tatum is the first Boston player to take home an All Star MVP since Larry Bird did it in 1982. The league returns to action on Thursday.

Stenhouse Wins Daytona 500
Also…in case you missed it…from NASCAR…Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won the Daytona 500 on Sunday. It’s Stenhouse’s first win in five years…and his third career victory.

Judge Has Eye On The Prize
Aaron Judge was asked by reporters yesterday if he could hit 62 home runs again this year. Judge said “You never know”…but then stressed that the ultimate goal is to get a World Series victory.

Rex Ryan Back Into Coaching?
Former Jet head coach Rex Ryan interviewed Saturday in Denver for the Broncos’ defensive coordinator job on Sean Payton’s staff. Payton (the Super Bowl-winning coach formerly of the Saints) was recently hired to be the Broncos head coach.
