Good morning, Sports fans!   It’s your pal Davey Mac here back with a Monday edition of the Sports Report for ya!   Hockey!   Hoops!   Baseball!   And football!   And that’s where we begin!

NFC Divisional Playoffs - New York Giants v Philadelphia Eagles

Have you seen the reports surrounding Giants free agent quarterback Daniel Jones?   Well, this sounds crazy but ESPN is reporting it so here ya go…sources are saying that Daniel Jones actually was originally asking for $48 million! The Giants, of course, declined that request. The two sides are still talking but no progress has been made. The Giants can put the franchise tag on Daniel on Tuesday.

Chicago Bears v New York Giants

Excuse me?   Forty-EIGHT million dollars?!   That’s nearly as much as TWO-time Super Bowl Champion and TWO-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes (a.k.a. The Best Player In Football).   What is Daniel thinking?   Also, does he not realize that by asking for this gigantic contract…he’s essentially making the Giants choose between himself and Saquon Barkley (a.k.a. The Best Player On The Giants)!

Come on, Daniel!   Be smarter than this!   The Giants success this year was based on an amazing Saquon and an improved Daniel!   But Jones was not the star!   Barkley is the best player on offense easily!   Daniel needs to do some soul-searching and find out if it’s money he’s all about…or a ring!   I’m Davey Mac!   That’s my Sports Two Cents!
