It’s your pal Davey Mac here and we’ve got some breaking news to kick off the Sports Report today! Steve Nash is OUT as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets! Just like that! Eight games into the season and—BAM—he’s gone!
Let’s be honest. The Nets have been an absolute circus these past few years. First, we had the James Harden drama. Can the Nets get Harden? Should the Nets trade for Harden? They finally make the deal…and about a year-and-a-half into his tenure…Harden wanted out of Brooklyn. Whaaa? Harden was eventually dealt to the Sixers where he’s at now.

Then you have the consistent Kyrie Irving drama and head aches. Odd theories. Selfish behavior. Offensive tweets. Dealing with Kyrie is as normal as dealing with Kanye West at this point.

Of course, you have Kevin Durant there. K.D. is still an amazing basketball talent…but he has to be questioning his decision to leave Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at this point. The Warriors are looking to win back-to-back titles this year and their fifth overall…meanwhile, K.D. is stuck in a basketball funhouse.

For his part, Nash put out a statement on Twitter…thanking the Nets and people of Brooklyn. Regardless…the Nets train has officially gone off the rails…and I don’t know if there’s any coach in the league that can fix them. I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents.
