The other day I was reminiscing about visiting my favorite diners and luncheonettes when I was a little girl. I was inspired to come up with a list of places in Monmouth County New Jersey based on Yelp reviews that may take me back in time, and I shared them with you.

Now it’s time to create a list of the best diners, luncheonettes, and places that are kind of like diners and luncheonettes in Ocean County according to the reviews on Yelp.

I look forward to visiting the places on the list that I have not been to as of today.

Sand Castle Diner - 634 Atlantic City Blvd, Beachwood, NJ 08722

The Sand Castle is everything you remembered of what a great classic diner should be.

Shut Up and Eat - 804 Main St, Toms River, NJ 08753

I love coming to this kitschy place with a homey vibe and great food.

Sandy's Cozy Corner - 414 NJ-70, Lakehurst, NJ 08733

It's like eating at Mom's or Grandma's house!  Homemade comfort food and service with a smile.

C&G's Country Cafe - 213 NJ-37 UNIT 9, Toms River, NJ 08753

Not really an old fashioned menu, but it sure looks good.

JB's 57 Diner - 1101 NJ-70, Manchester Township, NJ 08759

I've been to this cool little retro style diner a few times about a decade ago. I hear it's still a great place for breakfast.

The Brunch Spot - 290 N Main St, Barnegat Township, NJ 08005

Mike from Mantoloking's review: "We stop in most Sundays after food shopping. The "specials" are creative and delicious as are most of the regular menu items."
"The staff is attentive and friendly plus your coffee cup will never go empty.  Place is small however on nice days outdoor seating is available. In addition, they offer take away and delivery."

Jackson Diner - 23 S Hope Chapel Rd, Jackson, NJ 08527 In the Jackson Crossing Shopping Center

I love the fries at this place, and they make a decent burger too.

Lacey Diner - 530 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731

Another old fashioned diner with a luncheonette feel, great selections and a homey atmosphere. The chicken fried steak looks amazing!

Grits & Grace - 507 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721

The look is old school, the food is not. A very innovative menu that caters to most dietary needs.

Fast Break - 1635 NJ-37, Toms River, NJ 08753

Now this is closer to a luncheonette. Interesting building design, interesting decor,  and fabulous food.

Patti's Kitchen - 3626 NJ-35, Lavallette, NJ 08735

A very charming, intimate place. The Crab Cake Benedict is a dish 'that you will definitely consider.

Sunny Side Up Cafe - 664 Mantoloking Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08723

Breakfast done right, and the fries are killer!

Shore Good Pancake House - 34 Lanes Mill Rd #1, Brick Township, NJ 08724

Unassuming American eatery serving breakfast & burgers in an old-school atmosphere.

Dynasty Diner - 117 E Main St, Tuckerton, NJ 08087

Long-standing corner spot with an all-day menu of American classics in a family-friendly setting. Check out the GIANT Omelette and the vodka fries!

Town & Country Diner - 660 NJ-37, Toms River, NJ 08755

I've been here a bunch of times on my way to either Walmart or Aldi's. I like that they cook my home fries the way I ask. I like them very well done. Other places fail to honor my small request.

Corner Post Diner - 2791 Hooper Ave Brick, NJ 08723

If you love a good breakfast with those fat juicy sausages, this is your place. Frank from the Wednesday Warriors page on FB eats here and loves it.
