So it’s official…Avatar: The Way Of Water is officially a bonifide hit. Not only has the movie entered the very selective $2 billion club at the theaters…but now it has been nominated for Best Picture at the 2023 Academy Awards.
Honestly, I don’ know how James Cameron keeps doing it. He has now become the only director with three movies to make two billion bucks (Titanic, Avatar, Avatar: The Way Of Water).

And since Terminator 2 was the movie of the summer in 1991…and films like Aliens and True Lies were massive hits as well…this guy must be the most successful director since Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Not only does Cameron make huge movies that make billions at the box office…but they also get praised by critics. This guy can do no wrong. And now with Avatar 2 getting this Best Picture Oscar Nom…he is becoming a highly decorated film-maker as well.

All in all…it’s yet another incredible year for Cameron. Avatar: The Way Of Water is raking it in at the box office and the flick has garnered four Oscar nominations. Yet again…James Cameron proves he knows what he’s doing. In Hollywood at least…this guy is truly King Of The World.
