It’s one of the most interesting stories of the year for movie nerds and folks (like me) who pay attention to box office numbers…
…How will the long-awaited Avatar sequel do? The picture comes out this Friday, December 16th, and is the focus of a lot of Hollywood insiders.
James Cameron, the writer, director, and creator of Avatar: The Way Of Water, has been one of the biggest box office film-makers of all time. Cameron was the first director to hit the one billion dollar mark at the theaters with Titanic.
And then Cameron was the first director to hit the two billion dollar mark with Avatar. And when you factor in the phenomenal success Cameron had with Terminator 2…it’s safe to say that this man is in rarified company.
But, how will Avatar: The Way Of Water do? Are we looking at another box office juggernaut for Cameron? Or has too much time passed? The first movie came out in 2008…that’s fourteen years that audiences may have lost interest in this tale.
It’s an interesting showbiz story that we’re watching closely. Check out the photo gallery below followed by Avatar.
