The Morning Rat Race

Good morning, Sports fans and athletics aficionados!   It’s your pal Davey Mac here and we’ve got an ultra-important Sports Report for ya this morning!   And that’s because we have BREAKING NEWS!

New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge has officially re-signed with the Yanks!

Minnesota Twins v New York Yankees

Judge will receive $360 million for nine years and I for one believe that Number 99 deserves every single penny of it.   After hitting an American League record 62 home runs and winning the MVP…Judge is the most popular player in New York sports right now.

Furthermore…he’s a fan favorite.   He has his own section in Yankee Stadium.   It’s not a stretch to say he is the most beloved Yankee since Derek Jeter and maybe even Don Mattingly.

Tampa Bay Rays v New York Yankees

Judge is also arguably the best player in the game.  It wasn’t just about the home runs this past year.   He was brilliant in every offensive category…and showed why he is an incredible, five-tool player.

I feel like the little kid in the picture below right now.   I’m crying tears of joy.   And I ain’t too proud to admit.   It’s gonna be a very happy holiday season.   God bless us one and all…Aaron Judge is back in the Bronx!   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

Legendary boxing referee Mills Lane died yesterday.  He was 85.  He was also the ref on MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch.   He also had his own court show called Judge Mills Lane.   And, of course, Lane worked many famous and sometimes infamous boxing matches…including the infamous match where Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield’s ear off.   Rest in peace, Mills!
