It’s your buddy Davey Mac here and we’ve got another scintillating edition of the Sports Report for ya!   But first!   We’ve got an “In Case You Missed It” story…but this came out a few days ago while we were on vacay…

…New York Yankees’ superstar slugger Aaron Judge has just been named the Associated Press Male Athlete Of The Year.

Judge, of course, had an amazing year in which he slugged 62 home runs…an American League and Yankee record.

Judge also led MLB in many other categories…including RBI’s, runs scored, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS, extra-base hits and total bases.  WOW.

Judge is also extremely popular with the fans and team-mates alike.   He’s considered to be a great leader in addition to being an outstanding baseball player.

  • Knicks Beat Spurs

    The Knicks got their third win in a row by beating the Spurs last night…117 to 114.   Knick point guard Jalen Brunson, who has been a tremendous addition to the team, scored a career-high 38 points while also grabbing seven rebounds and getting six assists.   Julius Randle added 25 points and 13 rebounds as the Knicks improve to 21 and 18.

  • Nets' Win Streak Snapped

    Meanwhile, despite Kevin Durant scoring 44 points, the Nets’ 11-game win streak was snapped as the Nets lost to the Bulls…121 to 112.   The Nets still have the third best record in the East at 25 and 13.

  • Sixers Defeat Pacers

    The 76’ers defeated the Pacers…129 to 126.   James Harden had 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists in the Philly victory.   The Sixers are now 23 and 14.

  • Devils Crush Detroit

    The Devils dominated the Red Wings last night…final score…5 to 1.   Nico Hischier and Dougie Hamilton each had a goal and an assist.   Devil goalie Vitek Vanecek had 32 saves to pick up the win.   The Rangers and Flyers were inactive.

  • Damar Hamlin Update

    While Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin does remain hospitalized and in critical condition…the Bills are saying that Hamlin showed “signs of improvement” yesterday.   The Bills also said that Hamlin “is expected to remain under intensive care as his health care team continues to monitor and treat him.”   Hamlin collapsed on the field of the Bills  – Bengals game due to a cardiac arrest.

  • Bryan Cranston In Super Bowl Commercial

    Bryan Cranston will return as Walter White in a Super Bowl commercial for Frito-Lay’s PopCorners.  The game airs Sunday, February 12th on Fox with Rihanna as the half-time show.   Cranston won four Emmys for playing Walter White on Breaking Bad.  He also reprised the role for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and Better Call Saul.
