It’s Davey Mac here and we’ve got history-in-the-making with Aaron Judge, ladies and gentlemen!
Judge slugged two home runs last night in the Yankees’ victory over the Red Sox…bringing his home run total for the season to 57! Insane!
That means that Aaron Judge is four home runs away from tying Roger Maris’ Yankee and American League record of 61 homers in a season. The Yanks have 20 games to go. Four homers to tie. Five homers to take the record. In twenty games. Judge can do this!
It also means that Aaron Judge is just three home runs away from tying Babe Ruth at 60 home runs in a single season. This would also make Aaron Judge the third Yankee to hit 60 home runs in a season…which is pretty incredible for the franchise.
What we’re witnessing, folks, is HISTORY. Judge is also hitting .310 when the American League leader, Luis Arraez, is hitting .319. And since he’s leading the league in homers and RBI’s…Judge has an outside shot at the triple crown! AMAZING.
Bask in the greatness which is Aaron Judge, people! For he is truly the Honor of the Yankees! And that’s just my two cents!
