The March for Babies

The March for Babies walks in New Jersey are now just one month away! March for Babies is the premier fundraising event for the March of Dimes. There are 14 walk sites in New Jersey, with the walks taking place on April 24, 30 and May 1.

 Premature birth is now the #1 killer of babies in our country. Many babies who survive face serious health challenges and a lifetime of disabilities.

 Although the U.S. preterm birth rate has gone down for 7 years in a row, 1 in 10 babies is born too soon.

 Since its founding in 1938, the March of Dimes has been responsible for numerous breakthroughs in children’s health, including the vaccines that prevent polio. Today, we’re fighting premature birth through initiatives like the creation of five Prematurity Research Centers to find causes and preventions. We also fund programs in your community that help moms get the quality prenatal care they need to help them have full-term, healthy babies. In addition, we offer comfort and information to families with a baby in the NICU.
