The Artist Collective Troupe presents “The Trail to Oregon” from August 1-2 at the Woman’s Club of Point Pleasant.

Based on the nostalgic video game, “The Trail to Oregon” follows a dysfunctional all-American family on the ultimate road trip down the Oregon Trail. Originally produced by Team StarKid, “The Trail to Oregon” is the most historically accurate musical portraying the Oregon Trail to date, featuring 12 educational songs, a set precisely replicating the trail’s landscape, and appearances from famous historical figures such as McDoon, Cletus Jones, and Cornwallis. In the spirit of the video game, YOU get to name the family! And that’s only where the audience participation begins…

This production is directed by Eric Pertgen with musical direction by Chelsea Carlson. Chris Morano is the stage manager.

Performances take place Friday August 1 at 7:30 PM, and Saturday August 2 at 2:00 & 7:00 PM, at the Woman’s Club of Point Pleasant, located at 513 St. Louis Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. Tickets are available for purchase online and will also be available at the door. Please note that “The Trail to Oregon” is Rated-R and contains explicit adult language and humor. It is not suitable for children. Recommended age is 18+ and no one under 14 will be permitted into the venue.

Proceeds from “The Trail to Oregon” will benefit Rescue Ridge, a no-kill animal shelter that is dedicated to helping animals of all kinds find their fur-ever homes throughout the Jersey Shore.

The Artist Collective Troupe is a nonprofit organization created to serve the community through theatrical and music performances, artistic events, education opportunities, workshops, and more.
