Rock for the Nurses 2014, Sunday, June 1st. The Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship Fund teams up with the Idle Hour Restaurant & Bar in Point Pleasant to help the nurses of Ocean Medical Center at its third annual Fundraiser “Rock for the Nurses 2014″ to be held on Sunday, June 1st, starting at noon. The six hour event will feature live performances from The Matt Noffsinger Band, The Pickles, Two Story Outhouse, Guns 4 Hire Trio, Ned Ryerson, Tyler Veit and Where’s Judy. The fundraiser will include an all you can eat BBQ buffet, tent party, cash bar, coffee, soft drinks, desert, games, prizes and more. Tickets are $20 per person (kids 12 and under are free) and are available at The Idle Hour (Point Pleasant), Ocean Medical Center (Brick) and Bow-Kay Florist (Brick). Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event at the door. All proceeds from the event will go to The Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship Fund, which annually benefits the nurses of Ocean Medical Center by providing nursing scholarships to nurses and nursing students looking to further their formal education in the nursing profession.
