PAHS has been devastated by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, which dumped 10 feet of water onto the property, resulting in the loss of all of its daily/medical supplies, rescue vehicles, heating system, and hot water heater. Thankfully, all of the animals inside were safe! The damage to the building is so severe that PAHS is kicking off acampaign to raise funds to construct a new facility, one that will be bigger and better equipped to save more animals’ lives, and also it will be lifted to minimize the threat of this happening again.
Plainfield Area Humane Society is hoping to bring community members to the shelter to raise awareness about the facility and their mission to save animals.
For a minimum donation of $25 a person, or a minimum of $35 of two or more people, fans can take a photo (on his/her own device) with Jonnothan Harrison of the New York Giants, and obtain an autograph as well.
PAHS will also be promoting adoptions, in hopes of getting their sweet animals into homes for the holidays. Fosters, volunteers, and in-kind donations are also always in high demand.
Rex is a sweet boy and loves teenagers and adults, however, he needs to be the only animal in the home. He is a shelter celebrity, but finding his furever home this holiday season would be the ultimate score!!
