On Saturday, June 7th Soldier On is hosting its 2nd Annual JERSEY STRONG for Soldier On Fundraiser. Thanks to the hospitality of Bar Anticipation (703 16th Avenue, Lake Como, NJ 07719) we are looking forward to gathering with friends, supporters, and community members. During the event guests will enjoy food, music by Cadillac Jones, and raffles. Last year, the event raised over $15,000 which was made possible by all our amazing supporters. This year our goal is to raise over $20,000 and all proceeds will go directly to the 70 men and women veterans that reside at the Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community in Tinton Falls.
Soldier On is a 501©3 private non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID: 27-3582131) dedicated to ending homelessness among veterans. Since 1994, Soldier On has been providing veterans with transitional and emergency housing with services delivered to them where they live. These services include case management, medical and dental care coordination, addiction and mental health treatment services, financial literacy, and transportation.
Soldier On has a mobile door-to-door outreach campaign, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) assisting veterans and their families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless throughout the states of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The program provides in-home case management, referral services, and temporary financial assistance for housing to veterans facing homelessness. Over 13,000 veterans have been served through SSVF in New Jersey since 2011.
Soldier On provides safe, affordable, sustainable, housing solutions to homeless and at-risk veterans. Soldier On’s housing model includes an array of support services to ensure veteran residents maintain successful occupancy. The comprehensive services include on-site support, case management, transportation, wellness, legal assistance, and End-of-Life services. Soldier On currently provides over 400 veterans with these services within multiple affordable housing facilities throughout New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts.
