The New Jersey Pharmacists Association announces that the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 10am to 2pm. There will be more than 100 drop-off locations in New Jersey and in some nearby bordering towns in Pennsylvania and New York participating in the program.
This event allows citizens to dispose of unwanted, expired, or unused prescription drugs (only pills or patches are accepted). The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
Unused prescription drugs provide an opportunity for diversion, misuse, and abuse. Medications in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisonings
