Distinguished Tuskegee Airman to speak at Lakehurst Historical Society meeting. George Watson, Sr., retired Tech Sgt, as well as the other men and women of the Tuskegee Experiment, earned their place in history by being a part of 366th Air Service Squadron. In a time of segregation, pilots and ground crews maintained aircraft and flying hundreds of successful missions. The public is invited to hear this upbeat and personable man on Wednesday, September 19th beginning at 7pm in the Lakehurst Community Center (the old firehouse), Center St., Lakehurst. Mr. Watson’s books, A Salute to the Beginning and Memorable Memoirs will be available for purchase.
