Get together your best 1920s Gatsby gear and buy advance tickets for the Belmar Historical Society’s 1920s-themed Bootleggers Masquerade Ball fundraiser!

Saturday, November 7 at the Waterview Pavilion, River Road, Route 35 and 8th Avenue in Belmar.

Prices are $65 per person until September 30, and $75 afterwards. They include dancing and entertainment with a live jazz music, buffet, and two free drink tickets. Sorry folks, no bootlegging.

Tickets are available from the Belmar Public Library, 517 10th Avenue, Nostalgic Nonsense Vintage Clothing, (Main Street at Ninth Ave.), or by calling the BHS at 908-309-3380. Payment is by cash or check.

Proceeds will go towards completing the digitization of the Coast Advertiser newspaper collection through the BHS web site, thereby giving online access to Belmar’s rich history. Here’s a historical fact. The Waterview Pavilion was built in the days of Prohibition, in 1926 for the American Legion.

Come on by!  Thanks!
