This week, we have Tracy Nerney, Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator for Jersey Shore University Medical Center.  Sadly, unintentional injury is now the third leading cause of death in our country, and the number one cause of death for individuals between the ages of 1 to 45. Jersey Shore University Medical Center is extremely committed to providing the very best care. Unfortunately, 50 % of trauma victims that die, die at the scene, before they ever have even a chance of helping them. As coordinator, Tracy looks at the statistics of why trauma injury happens in Monmouth and Ocean County.
