ON TODAY’S ONE MORE THING : Ever since the pedometer came out we all think we have to walk 10,000 steps a day !! FALSE and there is no facts that state that but yet where did this fact come from ? Glad you asked, the 10,000 steps a day came from a trade name pedometer sold in 1965 by Yamasa Clock in Japan. It was called “Manpo-Kei” which really means 10,000 steps meter. This took the world by storm and stuck. So every smartwatch, and Fitbit people are setting it to be 10,000 steps a day.
