ON TODAY’S ONE MORE THING : Ever since the pedometer came out we all think we have to walk 10,000 steps a day !! FALSE and there is no facts that state that but yet where did this fact come from ? Glad you asked, the 10,000 steps a day came from a trade name pedometer sold in 1965 by Yamasa Clock in Japan. It was called “Manpo-Kei” which really means 10,000 steps meter. This took the world by storm and stuck. So every smartwatch, and Fitbit people are setting it to be 10,000 steps a day. Don,t get us wrong walking is good for you but you no need to set your goal at 10,000 steps. That’s One More Thing on today’s Morning Rat Race. Thank you for always rocking out with 95.9 The Rat.
