On this week’s show:
Archie from Empire Fallen calls in to the show and we rock a track off the band’s “Knife Party” EP. No strangers to opening for national touring acts, you can catch them at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville opening for Life Of Agony on 12/21. Learn more at empirefallen.com. They’re currently in the midst of an opening act competition. Vote for them HERE.
Sarah and Andrew from Aurin check in over the phone and we crank an awesome, meaningful tune from their “Serotonin” album. Aurin is in action in Dudley, M.A. on 9/21 for “Ride For Dime,” an event in memory of Dimebag Darrell. Stay on top of everything Aurin is up to at aurinband.com.
The Medford Oktoberfest and Music Festival rocks Freedom Park in Medford on 9/21 from 11 am to sundown. The annual event features a massive beer tent, German food, food trucks, kid’s activities, a traditional stein-holding contest, vendors, crafters, and a huge business expo. Of course there’s also 3 stages of live music featuring NJ artists. It’s an all ages event. Admission and parking are free. On last week’s podcast we spoke with organizer Mark Oberstaedt and rocked 3 of the bands playing the festival. We do 3 more acts this week:
