This week, our guests are George Josephson and Mike Frankovich from the Toms River Rotary Club. This year marks the 30th annual Sailfest. This event draws a crowd of over 15,000 along River Avenue in Island Heights. Sailfest features crafters, food trucks, vendors and live entertainment. There’s also a Sailing Regatta throughout the day with over thirty sailboats taking part. 100 percent of the proceeds from Sailfest go towards providing scholarships to area youth to be used for college. The Rotary Club also does several other events throughout the year to benefit residents in need such as a food drive in partnership with the Boy Scouts.
