This week, we have Ester Jordan from Kick Cancer Overboard. This is a non profit organization based in Long Branch. Their mission is to give free cruises to families that have been affected by cancer. They also organize various local fundraisers to support a specific individual or family. They offer a great cruise at a reduced price, and the more paying passengers they book, the more people they can sponsor to travel for free. Ester became involved after her granddaughter Lucia developed leukemia several years ago. They were one of the families s that were awarded a free cruise, so to give back to the organization and help other families, Ester makes and sells bracelets in which all profits go to help families in need.
