This week our guest is Dr. Shabbar Danish.  Dr. Danish is the Chair of Neurosurgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s Neuroscience Institute.  The Neuroscience Institute treats patients with brain disorders such as Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Dystonia, ALS, Brain Tumors and Essential Tremors.  Dr. Danish specializes in Robotic Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)  DBS helps with the treatment of these disorders by implanting a device which can then be adjusted to monitor the stimulation, resulting in lessened movement disorder. This is the only program in NJ in which the surgical team has experience with robotic DBS, which shortens the operating time and recovery time.  For more information, please call 732-974-0003.
