Jersey Rock Band of the Week: The Carousers
Rocking The Asbury Park Brewery on 10/20!
The Carousers are a Punk Rock trio, with members hailing from Trenton, Montclair, and Clinton. They band’s influences include Green Day, Weezer, The Foo Fighters, Rancid, The Misfits, and Blink 182. The Carousers are currently based out of Long Branch and got their start on the Monmouth University student label Blue Hawk Records.
The Carousers released their self-titled EP on October 6. The 5-track disc is a fun, high-energy effort that deals extensively with the trials and tribulations of engaging the opposite sex. You can score a copy of the EP HERE.
The Carousers will perform at the Asbury Park Brewery on Friday 10/20. They’re on the bill with Make War, Good Friend, and Erotic Novels. It’s an all ages show. Tickets are $5 and are available HERE.
Tune to Jersey Rock on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear tracks from The Carousers self-titled EP. Singer Joey Affatato will call in to the show each night to talk about the release and the band’s upcoming show in Asbury Park.
