Sublime kicks off the series on Friday, June 19, also appearing as part of the North2Shore Festival. The B-52s hit the stage Saturday, July 11, bringing along The English Beat.
Tickets became available at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30. You can get them through parkstage.org and ticketmaster.com. Officials plan to announce more performances this winter and spring.
Count Basie Center for the Arts teamed up with Monmouth County Tourism to create this space. Fans can choose from several ticket types: raised VIP platforms, an upfront pit section, or a general admission area.
"We are thrilled about our first announcements for this unique summer series," said Adam Philipson, president and CEO of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, according to Two River Times. "We are excited to partner with the county to create ParkStage as we celebrate our centennial and America 250. This outdoor venue gives us a new way to present live entertainment that brings people together for unforgettable experiences."
The venue connects to Monmouth County's celebration marking 250 years since the United States began and Count Basie Center's 100th birthday. Local leaders believe ParkStage will draw thousands of visitors to concerts, comedy acts, and other shows across New Jersey.
The East Freehold Fairgrounds location provides easy access from all major roads. On-site parking won't cost you anything, and VIP options are available.
