Starting at the end of next January, guests can stay in the updated Solana Tower at Tropicana Atlantic City. The former West Tower now sports 598 updated rooms as part of a major upgrade project.

"This renovation represents the next chapter for Tropicana, one that reflects the vibrant energy of Atlantic City while delivering a refreshed, comfortable escape for every kind of traveler," said Joseph Giunta, Tropicana's senior vice president and general manager, according to Casino.org.

Inside, coastal themes mix with wooden details and island-inspired patterns. The design matches the casino's Palm Walk section, making a natural connection between guest rooms and main areas.

With this addition, the property now offers more than 2,300 rooms across five towers. Guests get access to four swimming spots, wellness facilities, and plenty of food options. A big theater, IMAX movies, and late-night fun round out the entertainment choices.

The numbers tell an interesting story. By fall 2025, gaming brought in $153 million: slightly less than before. Gaming now makes up a smaller piece of Atlantic City's scene, dropping from 15% to 8% since 2017.

New Jersey officials made these updates part of the deal when Eldorado joined with Caesars in 2020. The rules said $150 million must go into fixing up Atlantic City spots: not just Tropicana, but Harrah's and Caesars too.

The gaming floor keeps its mix of 1,600 machines, 100 tables, and sports betting spot. Since 1981, the place has kept its Cuban-inspired style.

Want to stay in the new tower? Bookings start next January. You'll find yourself steps away from games, food, and shopping spots.
