She did say she purchased a ticket for a Pennsylvania Cash 5 drawing at the Shop 'n Save store. She bought the ticket and to her surprise, she hit the winning all 5 numbers: 14-22-33-35-38.
When Mildred, went to find the ticket she came to the fact that she had left it in the pocket of a jacket she donated to Vietnam Veterans of America. She did try to track down the jacket but found out the charity sends its donations out across the country, and even overseas also there is no way to track the jacket down. "I was stupefied; there are no words for it, there's no expression. How can I get it back," Simoneriluto told a local news station. The Pennsylvania Lottery even said there was no way to claim the prize without the physical ticket in hand.
Gotts' Thoughts On This Story
I feel so bad for Mildred, she was just doing a cool and good deed by donating the jacket for a great cause. I hope something great comes her way after all this. Always check your pockets before donating them or even washing your clothes for that matter.
Every year we take donations at the ShopRite in Neptune, for the 'People Of New Jersey Broadcast,' and I remember someone donated some form of clothing, and it turned out they left their cell phone in one of the pockets. They came back later that day, and I wanted to help them out so I spent over two hours looking for the phone. I tried calling it to listen for it, and after all that time I ended up finding it when it was vibrating. Thank God it was the phone and not something else.
