Hooks Bar And Grill Is Looking To Make Some Changes
Look out Seaside Heights, the infamous Hooks Bar And Grill on the boulevard is looking to make some big changes soon.
The owner William Morrissey, has just put out there a plan to demolish the bar but don’t worry they are looking to replace it and add a brand new restaurant with a below parking deck and 22 condominium units to add.
According to shorebeat.com Morrissey, just put the plans in this week to the borough planning board from his representatives, including an attorney and architect. If you have never been to Hooks Bar And Grill it is such a great place to sit back at any time of the season to grab a beer. So much to do there and I personally have some great memories at Hooks.
From the legendary Seaside St Patrick’s Parade to even spending a summer afternoon there, I had a beer ready to go. The bartenders in there are just awesome and treat you like family as soon as you walk in. Plus with all the games they had like skeeball, pool, live music, and watching all the games there was never a dull moment. Hooks Bar And Grill And What To Expect With The Changes
According to architect Jason Hanrahan, he had this to say, “Hooks will have a small outdoor patio area, a generous size kitchen, and all of the utilities are self-contained, and the entrance to the Hooks’ restaurant will be off of the Boulevard.” The upper two levels would be living space, with nine condominiums on the first level, and 13 on the upper level. The lower level units will each have two or three bedrooms, while the upper units will come complete with a second-floor loft.
Hanrahan added “We are going to have some potential amenities in this building including a gym and a lounge that overlooks the pool terrace area, and adding the units with lofts will also come with access to balconies and terraces on the exterior.
