Just in time for Halloween, Forbes Magazine has ranked the most haunted houses in every state and one house in Port Monmouth has been given that title right here in the Garden State. It's the Seabrook Wilson House, also called the Spy House. The house is located at located 719 Port Monmouth Road.

What Has Been Seen At The Seabrook Wilson House

Several weird and crazy things have been reported at the Spy House, including the Spy House Ghost Boy and a spooky figure that is seen from outside the house that is swaying back and forth in a rocking chair. There is even the White Lady and the ghostly dog.

She has been seen wandering the halls of the Spy House and is said to be a spirit who watches over the house and its visitors. There are also stories of a ghostly dog that has been seen in and around the Spy House. The dog has been seen wandering about the property grounds, and visitors have reported hearing its barking. I don't think you can feed the dog any treats.

Visitors to the house have also said they heard strange noises, doors opening and closing by themselves, and the feeling of being watched.

One of the most famous ghost stories at the Spy House is that of Captain Morgan. NO NOT THAT CAPTAIN MORGAN! Morgan was a British soldier who was at post at the house during the Revolutionary War. According to the spooky story, Morgan was murdered by fellow soldiers in the house’s basement.

The guests have claimed that his ghost has been seen in the basement and all through the house. Visitors have said they had a feeling of a cold breeze or sudden temperature drop in the basement, which is to be a sign of Captain Morgan.

History Of The House And How To Get In

The Spy House has a long history. During the Revolutionary War, the house was used as a spy outpost by the British Army. It is thought that the house was used to see the movements of American troops and get intelligence. The house was also used as a safe house for British soldiers, and it is said that some of those soldiers never left the house alive. The admission is a donation and you can get more information at roadsideamerica.com.

According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
