A teenager replaced his family's dining room chandelier with a miniature Jumbotron chandelier while his parents were out, and his dad loved it! His mom? Well not so much.

I saw the hilarious Instagram post while scrolling last night. the two things that struck me were the pure joy on his father's face at the installation. The dad can be heard immediately making plans to put his earbuds in and enjoy watching sports under the Jumbotron Chandelier while having dinner. The other thing is the Jumbotron itself! How did I live on this earth for so long and not know they made miniature-sized Jumbotrons?? This thing is amazing.

It's very old school 80s looking but is cool as hell. It even has the big spotlights on the bottom like the old jumbos did back in the day. It appears that all the screens are working televisions with the ability to have different channels on each! This is part of the dad's argument to the frustrated mom, saying that with the Jumbotron Chandelier, they can now eat dinner together in the dining room and watch what they each want! It's bananas.

History Of The Jumbotron

I imagine there are some readers here who are wondering what the hell a Jumbotron even is. So here is a brief history. According to Sony Group Corporation, The Jumbotron was invented in Japan in the early 1980's. In 1985, the term "JumboTron" was coined by Sony for its large-scale video board. The JumboTron was the brand name for the large-scale video boards originally manufactured by Sony and is recognized as one of the largest non-projection video displays ever manufactured. Sony creative director Yasuo Kuroki, who previously helped create the Sony Walkman, is credited with the development of the JumboTron. They are now looked up at during most sporting events around the world.
