Walk To Fight Alzheimer’s Coming To Point Pleasant Beach
Alzheimer’s New Jersey is hosting its annual Pt. Pleasant Beach Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 5th at 9 am.
According to a press release put out by the organization, Alzheimer’s New Jersey, the first line of local support for New Jersey residents affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia is hosting its annual Pt. Pleasant Beach Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 5th at the corner of Arnold and Baltimore Avenues. There will be music, entertainment, refreshments, and door prizes.
Day of registration for the walk begins at 9:00 am followed by a fun Kick-Off ceremony at 10:00 am. Walkers will enjoy a 2.5-mile walk along Ocean Ave., and the Pt. Pleasant Beach Boardwalk starting at 10:30 am.
They Invite Everyone To Walk With Them
There will be lots of entertainment, energy, and fun,” says Ken Zaentz, President and CEO of Alzheimer’s New Jersey. “More than 600,000 people in New Jersey are affected by Alzheimer’s disease including residents from Ocean and surrounding counties. As the number of families impacted by Alzheimer’s grows, the help of the community to support our programs is more important than ever. The walk is a powerful way to show your support and make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease.”

Walkers will receive a promotional item the day of the walk and those who raise $75 or more will receive a complimentary event t-shirt. Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s teams are made up of families, friends, and co-workers who come together to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s New Jersey programs and services including a toll-free Helpline, Family Support Groups, Community Education Programs, the Respite Care and Wellness Program and Clinical Trial Connections® Program.
