Wonder Bar In Asbury Park Named One Of The Best Bars In America For 2024

Well, this is pretty cool!

Wonder Bar in Asbury Park just got named one of the best bars in America for 2024 according to USA Today’s "Bars of the Year" list.

Plus they have "Tillie" the face of Asbury Park right on top of the bar. People from all over come to get a picture of him.

It really is a great place to meet up with some friends, and they have some great live music coming through there, not just local New Jersey bands but national acts as well. Congratulations, to The Wonder Bar, and you deserve it!

Bruce Springsteen is even a fan of the Wonder Bar and is known for jumping on stage with bands to jam out. Sometimes just rolling through there you can find him just sitting at the bar, and having a cocktail. I have seen a couple of other popular stars in there hanging out, like Vinny Pastore, you might know him from a bunch of movies, but most of us know him as Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero.

This place has everything covered from food and drinks are always available. Manager and my good friend, Debbie DeLisa said it's the community that makes Wonder Bar so special, with reviewers also highlighting the circular bar design, the four-legged friends at Yappy Hour, and the dance floor. You can bring your dogs there, let them run around outside, and play with other pups. You do however need to bring current certification of up-to-date rabies vaccination with you which shows the month and date.

Yappy Hours: Monday & Wednesday small dogs only 3-7 pm, Thursday & Friday all size dogs 3-7 pm, Saturday & Sunday all size dogs 2-6 pm,$10 admission fee per person (21 and over only.) Season passes are available for $125, good for 2 people and 2 dogs, Season runs through Sept. 30. You need to bring current certification of up-to-date rabies vaccination with you which shows the month and date. You can take a picture of the vaccination papers and download to your phone.
