My friend Johnny C “The Pizza Guy” made his way over to Woodshed Pizza last week and had this to say, “I have been wanting to visit the newly opened Woodshed Pizza in Point Pleasant Borough and I have to say it was like walking into a Pizza and Wine Bar Oasis.”
Placed prominently for all to admire is their Wood Burning Oven imported from Naples. I just knew their Neapolitan Style Pizza would arouse every part of my genetically Inclined Palate from Sicily. Well, it did just that. I went with their classic Margarita which was made by a Pizzaiola who hails from my hometown of Cedar Grove. She has been making Pizza for several years from when the owners solely operated out of a Pizza Truck.
The Owners Ken and Vicki pride themselves on keeping things simple and using only the best ingredients. Ken is a true self-taught Pizzaiolo who ensures all details are in place for each of their creations to be savored.

It’s also not just Pizza it’s their great cuisine too. I had to try their Limoncello Wings (yes Limoncello Wings) and I just couldn’t get enough of them. Vicki then wanted me to try their Meatballs and Momma Rose yes, Momma Rose you got some competition!!! I then had to experience my meal with the one site Baker’s Wine Cafe and was recommended to try their Old Mill Red from their Alba Winery in Milford. You can even enjoy flights of Wine and enjoy your own tasting! Most nights their Certified Sommelier, Tatum Petruzziello is there to make wine pairing recommendations too.
Folks don’t hesitate and experience Woodshed Pizza and even make it a romantic night in Point Pleasant Borough.
